Candidates should be self-directed in a team environment with experience in design of all typical building materials. Job Title: Intern Architect

Education: Bachelor of Architecture, or working to achieve a degree in Architecture

Experience: 0-5 years

Duties:

An architectural intern will assist on all aspects of architectural design and documentation, from presentations for clients to working within the project team. This work can include hands-on architectural work, such as drafting and 3D modeling, to the business side such as preparing for presentations and maintaining project files. Travel to local and out of state projects for the purposes of scoping existing conditions or observing construction is part of the job.

Skills:

Architectural interns can assist a lead architect or PM with a range of duties including creating computer models, product research and clerical duties. The intern must have a strong knowledge of the major 3D modeling software including AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT and SketchUp. This position requires excellent communication skills to take direction from Project Managers. The position is in a team environment coordinating with in-house engineering as well as the ability to facilitate work flow between different project teams.

The QC Lead is a person with experience in the construction industry who has honed his/her skills and is capable of acting as a team leader in monitoring the quality of the construction documents. This position requires an intense focus on detail and criteria based reviews of drawings. This person will normally be in the office assisting on project design and documentation within the project team. The QC Lead may also have client interaction as needed. Travel to projects for the purposes of scoping existing conditions or observing construction is also possible.

Skills:

The QC Lead can work with the design teams and PMs with a range of duties including drawing reviews, training and mentoring production and QC staff. Attention to detail is critical in the position which focuses on the quality of the product. He/she must have a strong knowledge of industry standard drawing coordination and a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT. This position requires excellent communication skills to work within the project teams and to facilitate work flow.

Duties:

The primary function of the Architectural Project Manager is to provide leadership and support

to the production teams responsible for the services and deliverables Cyntergy provides to its’

clients. The candidate must be able to maintain customer relations and communication for

future work opportunities. This means ensuring that all project stakeholders, both in-house and

out are communicated with and kept up to date on each project that PM is responsible for.

Duties can include over-nite travel for the purpose of scoping, observing and/or client interface.

The PM’s role touches all activities and functions of the company from accounting to marketing

to production.

Skills:

The Architectural Project Manager should be an organized self-starter able to plan ahead and

multi-task on multiple projects. The candidate needs strong managerial and communication

skills in dealing with both inside and outside clients. He/she should have familiarity with current

Focus areas:

  1. Production Scheduling -Lead scheduling of projects and construction document production.

- Maintain awareness of work load and priorities. Be accountable for deadlines.

- Assign work appropriately to team members.

2.  Permit Tracking – Monitor permit process for client projects and work with Project Managers and jurisdictions to ensure that permits are obtained prior to deadline.

3.  Quality Control – Review documents for accuracy and completeness.

4.  Additional Service Coordination – Monitor scope of projects for additional service tasks and coordinate the approval and invoicing process with the program manager and SGA accounting.

6.  Project Management – serve as PM on multiple projects. PM responsibilities include:

- Construction Document Production.

- Multidiscipline Consultant Coordination

- Project management related tasks including: RFI’s, addendums, CCDs, submittals, etc.

7.  Travel – may travel to meet with the client, complete project scope trips and/ or conduct construction administration site visits.

8.  Future Tasks – Additional responsibilities may be assigned as the role develops.

Candidate Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: 5 -7 years of related project management experience. Experience leading a team preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Architect, preferred. Proficient in AutoCAD. Revit experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
